Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park is approximately 75 miles northeast of Madera via CA-41 — the "Yosemite Gateway" corridor — making Madera one of the closest Central Valley cities to the South Entrance (Wawona Road / CA-41). The drive takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours depending on season and traffic, and summer weekends can push that longer. Buses enter through the South Entrance and typically drop groups at the Yosemite Valley Lodge area or the Valley Visitor Center (Yosemite Valley, CA 95389), where the free Yosemite Valley Shuttle handles movement within the Valley.
